Racist content on US server 'within UK jurisdiction'

Not quite sure how this is going to work out. This case relates to 2 blokes who was publishing some racist stuff, on a server in California, they wanted in UK, they ran to US, got deported etc. etc. now this is the latest turn in the story. According to this "The law of England and Wales applies to material published online, even if it is hosted on a server in another country, the Court of Appeal has ruled" I am not quite sure how this worksm it seems the law decides what it wants when it wants. See Gary McKinnon, crime commited in UK? tried in UK???

California ISP rep, "no comment" :

(Look it was either this or a orange...)

"The Court of Appeal rejected that claim, saying that according to a precedent set in a previous case domestic law will apply so long as much of the activity in question took place in the UK."  *cough* McKinnon *cough*
