Some of you may have followed the removal of Linux support from the PS3 after that GeoHot fellow started meddling with it. Sony issused a firmware upgrade that removed the Linux support leaving quite a few users p*ssed off. Sony seem to be of the mind set that anyone using it must be some kind of evil pirate so everyone must go without. Well apprantly Linux support was a major selling point and now Sony are getting sued. They will prob. get off with issuing everyone a voucher or something stupid, just like Amazon did with one customer and Nintendo has done in the past...

"On April first Sony rolled out new firmware for the PlayStation 3 that removed the ability to install Linux on the system by blocking a feature called OtherOS. Now a class action lawsuit has been filed against the company for its actions. It doesn’t take an attorney to figure out that they removed features that were a major selling point for the system. "
