Sales figures of games consoles by generation

PlayStation 3 Has Outsold Xbox 360
Thought I best post something, as nothings been posted in a long time. According to "these" statistics the PS3 has out sold the Xbox360 by 1 million units to date, not sure how thats possible given the lead the 360 has in age and the fact that most people who have a360 have most likely baught 2/3 of the things due to the fact there so reliable ;p

Statistics published by top game developer Tose show that with 42 million the total number of PS3s sold globally have exceeded the Xbox 360 by a million units.
The statistics coe by way of a presentation by Tose (a prolific Kyoto-based game developer best known for not being known, as their games as usually credited exclusively to the company outsourcing the work to them, most often Nintendo) at the Kyoto Cross Media Experience 2010, from Famjitsu.
