drfWho knows whats in the attacements, but you can't be too careful. Just because the AV says its clean does not mean it is.

Siobhan milesI have received a similar message from Bobijou Inc. The attached invoice didn't appear to be an invoice but I wouldn't know because it was in French! I replied telling them that I'd call the police and cone after them myself if they took money from my account! Stupid spam like this really upsets me.

drf@Siobhan :

Thats why I try to publish them to mock them and hopefully educate people on this. You would not belive how many people have actually searched and found "Bobijou Inc" via Google and come here. So we can assume that Bobijou are really spamming away bad :(

If you get any of these mails just send them in and we will put them on the site too :)

Ellen JabHi,

We are Bobijou Ltd, Registered in England and Wales No. 05610201 ( Bobijou.com) never sent you any email nor processed any credit card transaction on your behalf.

We received thousands of calls and e-mails from individuals stating they received an e-mail from the "Bobijou Inc" confirming an order they never placed. These e-mails are not legitimate order confirmations and have nothing to do with Bobijou.com or Bobijou Ltd.

Your email address were either compromised or harvested by spammers and as a result you've been targeted by a phishing emails designed to trick unsuspecting users into replying to this bogus email with question about the order. And someone will ask you for your card details in order to "track" and cancel the order you never placed. ( Have anyone even bothered to check message headers and return email address before Googling Bobijou and overload us with threats and complaints?)

Bobijou.com does not send order confirmations or other unsolicited requests that require you to open attachments. We recommend that you do not open any e-mail attachments from suspicious or unknown sources. If you receive a suspicious e-mail allegedly sent from Bobijou.com that contains an attachment, we recommend you forward the e-mail to reportphishing@antiphishing.org
OR copy both the message HEADER AND message BODY and submit via web form at: http://www.antiphishing.org/report_phishing.htm without opening it. Delete the mail after you send it. If you opened an attachment in the e-mail, we recommend running anti-virus or anti-malware software.

drfThank you for the follow up message, the fact that this mail was posted under 419 mail fails might give you some clue as to how seriously it was actually taken.

At the time of its posting it was followed up to see how genuine it was, at that time we found your companys Twitter feed which made mention of the huge amount of fake Bobijou mails going about, it was decided to not bother contacting your company about (as per Twitter instructions) this as no doubt you were overloaded at that point, however it seems things are only getting worse for you. The fact you have had to come onto this very blog and mention it shows the desperate situation you are now in dealing with the spammers.

Not blaming you but what can you do, the nature of this post is educational and a warning to those who stumble across, in fact we have had a few mails saying "thanks for the warnings" from our various exposes.

PS: I wonder if your comment has something to do with the recent hits in the last few days increasing on the keyword "bobijou inc email", again showing that very recently the spammers are at work again sadly :(
